Looking for a gift for that preschooler in your life? These gifts have all been loved in our home. Check out our picks below!
All approved by my 3 year old.
#1 Glo Pals Water-activated reusable light-up cubes
A bath time staple in our home! Some days these glow lights are the ONLY thing that convince my little guy to get in the bath. They’re also great for sensory tables (or maybe even for green beer for mama come St. Paddy’s day đ ) They come in a variety of colors, characters and even Sesame Street. Our new favorite is the Party Pal.
#2 Fisher-Price S’more Fun Campfire
A soon as my little guy turned 3, everything became pretend play and this set keeps him busy for sometimes an hour or more! We love to camp together as family during the warmer months, so this set is sure to keep him busy indoors this Winter.
#3 HABA Rainbow Whirls Pegging Game
Don’t let this fool you, it looks simple but really there are so many “games” to play with this one. We match colors, count and even stack. A great toy for really developing that pre-writing pincer grasp too.
Easy to ride and stable. No falls yet on this one. This is especially loved when we travel because it’s small and easy to pack. Love the classic Radio Flyer look too.
SOOO many options with this one. Literally, these rainbow pieces can be ANYTHING and they pretty much are in our home. Ramps for cars, tunnels for trainers, “boats”, ball runs, stackers.. so many possibilities. Love that they are sustainably made with non-toxic dyes too. (Plus, they really old their value on B/S/T sites, but I think you’re going to want to hang out to this one.)
#6 42 Piece Tegu Magnetic Wooden Block Set
Another fun magnet block toy – but these ones are different — these blocks exhibit polarity, making them an extra challenge and fun science lesson too! We love the natural wooden feel and look of these.
#7 Educational Insights GeoSafari Jr. Kidnoculars Binoculars for Kids
Classic and simple. My son loves looking for “dolphins” on our little lake. Love that the cord snaps apart easily.
A favorite toy brand here. Made here in the USA completely of recycled materials. My little guy gets to pretend he’s pulling the camper like his Daddy. Love that all the little figures are interchangeable with our already large collection of Green Toys.
#9 Magna-Tiles 100-Piece Clear Colors Set
Recently, these blocks get the MOST play. I love that my guy plays with this open-ended toy and is learning at the same time. Everyday he surprises me with even more elaborate builds; I KNOW he is learning.
#10 Strider – 12″ Classic Balance Bike
I can’t say enough about how much we LOVE this one! My little guy has been cruising on this since before he was 2 and now a 3 year-old he really has some balance down. Can’t wait for the first decent snowfall so we can hook up the snow skis to it! There’s also a rocker base for even younger kids. Don’t forget the helmet! (Trust me, I’ve done extensive research and the POCito Omne Spin is the BEST one out there. Worth every $$.)
#11 Melissa & Doug Standard Unit Solid-Wood Building Blocks With Wooden Storage Tray
BLOCKS. Never going out of style. Possibilities are endless and the sheer number of blocks makes this a great option for 2-3 kids to play together. This set is also great for the classroom.
#12 Kinderfeets Original Wooden Balance Board
The perfect solution to that wiggly preschooler needing a little extra movement on those cold, wintry indoor days. Also doubles as a slide, ramp, tunnel for cars/trucks and even step stool! Fun for adults too! Just ask my 200 lb. husband đ
Hope you enjoyed these picks! We definitely have. I fully expect these toys to stick around long enough for baby #3 to enjoy.
