This is everything Walmart lists for the combined $120 membership:

• Sam’s Club access with member prices on brand names and Member’s Mark.
• Free delivery from both stores on orders over the minimum: $35 at Walmart, $50 at Sam’s Club.
• Peacock Premium or Paramount+ Essential, your pick of one ad-supported service, and you can switch every 90 days.
• 10 cents off a gallon at more than 17,000 participating gas stations (Walmart notes it’s 5 to 10 cents in Alabama).
• 2% Sam’s Cash on eligible purchases, up to $750 a year.

Here’s the thing: the delivery is the perk most families will actually feel. Two stores, one membership, and you’re not paying a delivery fee every time you’re out of milk and diapers on a Tuesday night.

The streaming piece is a nice bonus too. If you already pay for Peacock or Paramount+ separately, that’s worth checking before your next bill.

About That Refund

Walmart’s own words are that most members paying for both “are eligible for a prorated refund for Walmart+.” Prorated means it’s based on the unused time left on what you already paid.

Honestly, don’t expect a windfall. When I linked mine, my refund was $2.42. If your Walmart+ is monthly, or your annual plan is close to renewing, there just isn’t much unused time left to refund. If you paid for a full year of Walmart+ recently, yours should be bigger.

Walmart hasn’t published the exact formula, so I can’t tell you your number ahead of time. Your account will show it once you link.

The Catches Worth Knowing Before You Switch

Walmart’s eligibility page spells these out, and they’re the ones that could cost you money:

• Free trial or promo Walmart+? You can switch, but you won’t get a refund or credit for the free time you have left. Waiting until the promo ends may get you more value.
• Getting Walmart+ through Amex Platinum or Business Gold? You can switch, but you lose the monthly Amex statement credits.
• Getting a USAA or AARP discount? You can switch, but the discount goes away. Your price is based on the difference between what you pay now and the $120 fee, and you’ll see the final price before you enroll.
• Walmart+ through another partner? Check that partner’s terms first. If the partner manages your plan, you have to end that membership before you can switch.
• It’s for the primary member. The included Walmart+ benefits go to the primary Sam’s Club Plus member. You can share them with your household through Walmart+ Benefits Sharing.

Sam’s Club Membership Discounts for Certain Groups

Sam’s Club runs membership offers for military, teachers, students, first responders, seniors 60 and over, and government assistance recipients. They don’t list the discount amounts on their offers page, so check yours there before you join.

It depends on what you’re paying now:

• You already have Sam’s Club Plus: yes, easy. Walmart+ is free, so go activate it.
• You have Walmart+ and shop Sam’s even once in a while: $22 more a year for a full Sam’s Club Plus membership is a really good deal.
• You have neither: if you’d use free delivery a few times a month, or you already pay for Peacock or Paramount+, $120 for both covers a lot.
• You get Walmart+ through Amex or a discount program: do the math on what you’d lose first.
