Banana Ball Detroit is happening again, and the ticket lottery list opens today. If you missed out last time, this is your shot. Here’s everything you need to know, plus the ballpark bag list I’d pack for a day like this with the kids.

Banana Ball made its first stop in Detroit in September 2026, and both games sold out. Detroit was also one of the hungriest cities on the whole tour: WXYZ reported 171,551 lottery sign-ups here for those games, second only to Wrigley Field in Chicago.
So yes, it’s going to be competitive again. The good news is it costs nothing to get on the list.

For 2027 the Party Animals and the Indianapolis Clowns take over the ballpark on June 25 and 26. Summer in Detroit, a Friday night game, a Saturday game. Honestly, it’s a pretty perfect family plan if you can get in.
Banana Ball doesn’t do a normal on-sale. You join a list, and tickets go out by random drawing. Here’s how it works, per FOX 2 Detroit:
One heads-up: these games sell out, so resale prices on other sites run a lot higher than face value. If you don’t win, the Fans First Ticket Marketplace is the place to look first since prices there are capped.

If your kids have seen the Savannah Bananas on TikTok, you already know. Banana Ball is the Savannah Bananas’ fast, wild version of baseball: trick plays, dance routines, players who never stop performing for the crowd. One fan told FOX 2 it’s “a mix between baseball, Broadway and the circus.”
The rules are different too. One favorite: if a fan catches a foul ball in the stands, it counts as an out. So, um, bring a glove.

The Savannah Bananas started playing year-round in 2022, and there are now six teams in the Banana Ball Championship League, including the Party Animals and the Indianapolis Clowns you’ll see in Detroit.
A June game at the ballpark means sun, long lines and kids who need snacks every ten minutes. I put everything in one list on my Amazon storefront, including Detroit Tigers gear and official Savannah Bananas gear.

Before you pack a bag, check the ballpark’s bag policy for the game. Most stadiums limit bag size, and clear bags are the easy way to get through security fast.
A lot of what pops up when you search “Savannah Bananas” on Amazon is knockoff stuff with the name slapped on. These are from licensed brands:
It’s still our ballpark. These are officially licensed MLB pieces, and the links go to the Tigers version:
Most of the gear lands in the $10 to $40 range, with the youth jersey and the tee ball bat costing more. Check the current price on Amazon, since team gear prices move around.
