Hello wonderful Simply Sales Community!
With Christmas right around the corner, I thought I would share a few of the Christmas gift ideas I have on my list for my 18 month old! Some of these items are on sale and others are not. Coming from a Montessori teaching background, I truly love wooden and open-ended play toys! Open-ended play allows for children to make their own decisions and to use their imagination without limits. All these toys listed below truly fall into that category.
The magnetic tiles are truly the toy that stands the test of time. You can gift your early toddler this gift and expect to keep these to be on your shelves for many years to come. Another great toy like this is the wooden rainbow stacking toy.
The wooden wobble board is one of my favorite toys on my list. This is a perfect gift to nurtures your child’s inner need to climb and be physical. It is safe and sturdy. It is also a big part of open play. Your kiddo will not only use it to climb and master his/her balance, they can also use it when playing with other toy (balls, cars/trucks, etc.) on and have imaginary play. Sarah’s 3 year old is still loving his wobble board!
My second favorite toy on this list is the Little People Nativity Set. Toddlers LOVE Little People. It is so cute watching my son play with his Little People Farm. Christmas to our family is about Jesus and the gift of his birth, so what a better way to teach my toddler about Christmas then through his imaginary play with this sweet nativity set.
Lastly, the play kitchen is a PERFECT gift for your 18 month old. We all know our babies brains are like sponges, watching our every move. What a fun way to spark your babies imaginary play by gifting them a play kitchen! There are so many ideas on Pinterest on how you can use this in a functioning way to create independency for your toddler. Your toddler will also love opening and closing the doors and putting things into the cabinets and of course playing with the play food. All of these toys are truly worth every penny and are so versatile through all ages. I hope these toys sparks ideas for you to get your little ones! If you like this list, please share!
