My third baby is due this week so I figured it was time to get my Hospital Bag all packed up! Here are some of my favorite items I packed!
Large Heating Pad: Mine has 3 settings and was perfect for during active labor while I was changing positions and after delivery on my lower back which was sore! I also like to use it around my neck/ upper back because all the funky nursing positions can get your back aching.
Nipple Butter: A must during the first few months of nursing. It’s great as a salve for dry patches on elbows, or cuticles too!
Liquid IV or Coconut Water: Perfect for natural electrolytes. Great for during labor to keep you hydrated and afterward!
FridaMom Bidet: A game changer compared to the old hospital style. The angled tip makes it way easier to use and even comes in a handy carrying bag.
FridaMom Disposable Undies: I used these once I got home from the hospital. Hospital mesh underwear are pretty comfortable but I can’t stand how the pads don’t stick! The frida disposable are both comfortable and holds everything in place! I found them to be true to size.
Organic Dr. Bronners Chapstick: The hospital is so dry! I applied this a few times during labor and used after birth along with gulping down cups of water and electrolyte drinks!
Stainless Steel Straw Cup keeps your water and holds the ice! I love my Stanley but Simply Modern also has some cute options for less! My husband would just dump the styrofoam cup the nurses brought right into my cute stainless steel cup and my water stayed cold much longer, plus i prefer to drink out of stainless steel vs. plastic or styrofoam anyway!
Peppermint essential oil for any nausea. Typically just opening the vial and smelling it has helped me!
Portable Sound Machine to drown out the beeping/ hospital noises. Hoping it will help baby sleep better too!
Boppy pillow is a must for nursing a newborn. I also used it a lot for them to lounge on next to me on the bed.
Slippers with a hard sole for walking around during and after labor. Much better than just socks for those hard hospital floors. My croc slippers are a bit extra haha but they are super comfortable and supportive!
My favorite Target lounge Stars Above Joggers are super soft, loose, and they were practically the only pants I could wear after my prior Cesarean. I sized up one. Also my super soft lightweight robe is from Target too!
Amazon Packing Cubes to keep baby’s items all together!
We’re not affiliated with Bodily but both there bras and underwear are amazing, so check them out!
A few more must haves include cozy socks, mascara, kosas airbrow, deodorant, face wash, face lotion, nursing tops/ bra, clips, scrunchies, and of course SNACKS! Let me know if there is anything else you need a link for or that I’m forgetting to pack!
