Check out our postpartum essentials guide for everything you’ll need to ease into the transition of 4th trimester!
Postpartum Essentials
Bamboobies: Love these compared to disposable because they are super soft, which is helpful for the early breastfeeding days!
Nursing Bras: Cozy crossover style with no hooks or clasps for lounging and sleeping.
High Rise Underwear: THE best postpartum underwear (and beyond) Perfect for Vaginal or C-Section Births. I’m a c-section mama myself and the rise doesn’t rub on your incision!
Earth Mama Nipple Butter: All natural nipple butter for the early nursing days. Safe for you and baby!
Perineal Spray: Highly reviewed perineal spray for some initial comfort.
Ducolax: Important to keep taking your stool softeners even after you get home from the hospital
Tucks: Provides great relief from itching and burning.
Robe: A cozy lightweight robe. I typically bring mine to the hospital and continue to wear it back at home!
FridaMama Perineal Bottle: The angle of this bottle is SO much better than the traditional hospital peri bottle! I usually pack mine in the hospital bag too.
Hakaa: If you plan to breastfeed this is a must have. Easily collect milk on the side you aren’t nursing on. Also very helpful if you have over supply or fast letdown to collect a little bit before latching baby.
Large Tumbler: Simple Modern makes an affordable tumbler that keeps your beverage cold all day. I also love my 40oz Stanley with a straw to keep me hydrated!
Basket: A cute basket or diaper caddy to store all your postpartum essentials!
Nursing Tanks: I love these looser fitting nursing tanks.
Cozy Pants: I’ve lived out of these after my C-Section but they also fit through my whole pregnancy! Super soft, get softer with each wash, and don’t rub on my incision.
Salt Lamp: Sarah gave me this tip for middle of the night feeds. I love leaving it on the lowest setting for a soft glow! Easy to check on baby in the middle of the night!
`Herbal Tea or Herbal Supplements: So important to continue eating enough and getting enough minerals while you’re healing. Herbal teas are a great way to hydrate without only drinking water and this herbal supplement is perfect for postpartum contractions!
Register for Postpartum Essentials
Having a baby? Start an amazon registry! Even if it’s not your first & you’re not having a shower you can create a registry and get 15% off coupon on things you do need! You’ll also receive a Welcome Box with a bunch of freebies if you purchase $10+ off your registry (you can make this purchase yourself too!) Registering for postpartum items is a great idea! Or use the register to create a list of items you need – even if you don’t plan on sharing it!
