We’ve curated a high quality Christmas gift guide for babies with a low price tag for your Holiday shopping! Because for some reason it’s frowned upon to ask for diapers….
Do you have a baby under 1 year old and are stumped on what to get them for Christmas? Maybe you know exactly what to get them but all the grandparents are asking for ideas! Like so many of you I’m tempted to just ask for diapers and wipes LOL but here are some great ideas you can use or give others in your family for your sweet babe!
Most of these gifts are tried and true. Also my 4 year old still uses a lot of these items and some continue to hold his interest whether he’s playing alone or with his baby sister!
The baby Christmas gift list include books, tummy time toys, rattles, feeding items, and more! Check it out below!
One of our favorites around here. Both my son and daughter started playing with this around 3 months. The elastic bands are easy for them to hold onto and the wooden beads make such a pretty sound when you rattle it. It doesn’t hurt that it’s also atheistically pleasing to the eye. This toy was well played with for their whole first year. My cat always loves it so I do have to put it up every night! LOL
I held off buying this for a couple months when my son was little and once I finally pulled the trigger I wish I had sooner! This play gym is such great quality, the toys all held up for over a year and we’re now using it with our second! Initially when they’re a newborn I just set the wooden mobile part over a blanket! Once she started rolling over I set up the play mat portion as well. You get plenty of cards with black and white images, mirrored cards, and colored photos for one section on the play mat. It also folds in and out in sections with different focuses.
The play mat is made of crinkle paper, different textures, pockets to “hide” items to work on object permanence and so much more! It comes with a hand book telling you what parts are age appropriate and fun activities you can incorporate. We love the Lovevery company toys and their play gym and have recommended it to many friends! It currently has a HUGE coupon which is super rare!
This teether is one of the first toys both my babies starting using. It’s easy for baby hands to grasp and mouth. The natural rubber material makes me feel much better about it being in her mouth as opposed to some plastic toys.
Sarah is the one that introduced me to the brand Sarah’s Silks and these have been a staple in our home for 4 years now. The mini silk is the perfect size for babies and the first “toy” both of mine have played with. They are able to grasp it easily, suck on it, and it’s very thin, light, and breathable so it’s safe for all ages! They also make larger sizes once your kids are older and can be used for imaginative play, whether to make a robe/ dress, or landscape for play! My son likes to play birthday party and “wraps” our gifts in it!
These books are chew proof, rip proof, non toxic, and WASHABLE. One of my favorite toys to bring on the go. That way when your baby drops it somewhere you can throw it in the wash with your clothes when you get home! This makes a great gift or stocking stuffer and is really affordable! This one always makes our gift guide for babies!
A simple puzzle with pegs for little hands. Great for focusing on colors, shapes, and hand/ eye coordination. Wooden and great quality to last years to come!
A tummy time mirror is a must have. This one has great contrast to bring baby’s attention to. Great for when they are on their backs playing or during tummy time to work on head control. This one is simply and folds flat for storage!
An awesome way to encourage tummy time and make it more fun. My son wasn’t a fan of tummy time but this helped a lot! A great sensory experience as well.
I’m a little obsessed with whole Mushie aesthetic. All the muted colors are so pretty. Made from a bpa plastic and hold up well! Stacking toys have always been a staple here. Also makes a great bath toy or for outdoor play since it’s easy to wash! We brought ours to the beach all summer and love them for playing in our water table too.
Great for your teething baby – they love chewing on these! Comes with a tool for easy cleaning a cute bag for carrying in your diaper bag. They’re made of super soft silicone that feels great on your baby’s gums!
What’s so special about Sophie the giraffe? I love the vintage feel of this toy. The natural rubber actual smells nice, the long legs are easy for babies to hold! Sophie’s website states because of the long legs babies are able to use this toy for teething even with back teeth which most teethers do not. My son loved his Sophie and had to have it every time we went for a car ride!
I bought these last year for my daughter and loved them! The cotton is super soft and the sleeves have cuffs to keep her little hands warm at night. We bought the 3-9 month size when she was 3 months and it will definitely last for awhile! I love that she has room to kick around and roll over still if she chooses. Best part, you can grab 2 for around $12-$15 depending on the print!
These long sleeve bibs are perfect for baby led weaning or arts and craft time. They are wipable, washable, and roll up small for storage or to throw in the diaper bag!
I love crinkle books for tummy time or the car. Most are washable and can hang on the carseat. The sound keeps them interested and these are great with all the different texture tails! Get a 3 pack for just $12.99!
Last but definitely not least are these Grimm’s Nesting bowls. Aunt Sarah gifted these to my son for Christmas 3 years ago. He started playing with this set around 6 months and honestly still plays with them! It started as banging the wood bowls together, to stacking them, and now more dramatic play like pretending they’re bowls, cups, or a Barbie hot tub!
This brand is heirloom quality and will last for years. I love toys that you can buy when they are babies but I know he will play with them for years to come. This set comes in blues, rainbow, natural, and pinks! The Natural Baby Company has so many heirloom quality toys so check them out!
